In Hokkaido, Japan, red crowned cranes jump and dance joyfully in the snow, perhaps in an act of courtship or maybe just for fun.

This is a slightly-smaller-than-A6 card featuring two festive birds, printed with vibrant risograph ink. A fun Japan-inspired Christmas card in a joyous colour-way, this would also look fantastic in a frame.

Supplied with a bright green envelope, sustainably packaged in biodegradable cellophane and sent in a board-backed envelope.

Risography is an eco-friendly form of printing from Japan that uses soy-based ink. A separate stencil is made for each colour which is printed one at a time. Mis-alignment and ink blips are all part of the charm in this imperfect process. Riso inks are transparent, meaning new colours are created when different inks overlap. Fun!
