This is a slightly-smaller-than-A6 card, riso-printed with three vibrant inks (blue, fluorescent pink, and yellow) onto recycled paper. Supplied with a gorgeous GF Smith envelope in hottest pink.
This is a plastic-free card that is sustainably packaged in compostable cellophane and posted in a recyclable board-backed envelope.
The original collage artwork was made by Rosalind Jane by cutting and sticking paper, before being digitized for the riso process.
What is Risography?
Riso is a neon-loving printing process born in 1980s Japan. It is similar to screen-printing in that a stencil is made for each colour and printed separately. This means that no two are exactly the same! Ink coverage and alignment can vary between prints, but that it just part of its charm. Like newspaper print, riso ink is never truly dry and can rub off so please handle with care. This card is extra inky because the dark brown/black colour is made by combining all three colours layered on top of each other - please be careful!
